Things to look forward this month
He will be 31 in few days to come. But one thing puzzles me. He never shows concern that he is getting older each year whereas I start worrying and thinking what will it be like after 2 or 3 years esp now that I am going towards the 30s range.....aarrrrgggghhhh (screaming in my mind at the thought of this). My dh always correct me to reduce his age by 2 yrs whenever we talk abt his age. Eventhough it is stated in his BC that the year is 74, he says 'NO it should be 76'. I've got a girl friend who was born in India and she has the age problem too. She always reduce her age but that is not what was written in her BC. Maybe it is common in their countries. I don't really know. But I always argue with my dh that his BC is correct :P
9th Aug - Nation's 40th birthday
This year they are going to have the celebration in Padang as well as in Jurong East, Tampines and Yishun. Well Padang is nearer to my place but I did not manage to get hold of the tickets. It is free by the way. Every year we catch the celebration live on TV but this year we will be going to Marina (near to padang) where we can catch the firing of the fireworks. We will miss out the other events but they will show a repeat telecast of the celebration some other days. We did manage to catch the preview of the fireworks last weekend and what a spectacular moment it was for all of us( mom, anishar, amiira, DH, DZ, jamaliah and her hubby). The firing of the fireworks were directly infront of us and it was really breathtaking. My DZ was simply amazed looking at the flypast and fireworks. My bil took some pictures of the fireworks and DH will make sure he doesn't forget to bring his video cam on 9th Aug. I will post a pic or two when my bil has uploaded them.
14th Aug- Baby Show Contest at Telok Blangah CC
DZ and amiira will be participating in the baby show. My sister and I are very excited. We really hope both our gals will enjoy themselves and not start crying. Zoha will be participating in the 12-18mths category and amiira will be in the 6-11mths category. We don't know what the judges will be looking for or what activities are plan for the babies in this contest. All we know is that we got to be there on 14th Aug at 8.30am. DZ and amiira are usually sleeping at this time. My bil suggested making their hairs to small curls but who would do it for them? There was one time I brought DZ to the hair salon to have her hair cut but the moment I sat her down on the chair, she started crying and pushing away the lady's hand. Lucky my DH was there and somehow she had her hair cut but looked very ugly :-( . I decided not to cut her hair again after that day. My sister and I even plan to tailor-make their khameez (sleeveless) for the show. Another one week or so, we are all looking forward to the baby contest.
25th Aug- J & K birthday
It is our birthday (me & my twins). The thought of closing up to being 30s...well eventhough we still got one more year for that...but still it is like arrrrrggggggghhhhh. I am happy I am not alone because my sister is there with me to share part of what i am feeling LOL. Plus I am treating my colleagues for lunch this month because last month WP gave treat for her promotion, crazy Harp gave treat for becoming a Singaporean, XL gave treat because the rest were treating and I am the only one left so I decided to let it be my birthday, a birthday treat.
27th Aug- Crazy harp birthday
We always get to cut our birthday cake together in the office for the past 3 years except last year when we both decided we don't want a cake as we were both dieiting LOL and of course we are not looking forward for our birthday present from our boss.
I am definetly looking forward to September - my annual increment ....yess!!!!!!!!
