crazy harp mentioned in her blog that her 3yr old son oppose her wearing a sari so I got reminded of sari. It was only yesterday I told my mom that I wish to wear a sari on my sister's wedding day...when will that be? We don't know but I actually told her let's have her wedding fast because I want to wear a sari. A sari and a hijab? Hmm why not? I have seen ladies in sari and hijab. Of course there are ways to hide everything underneath a 6 meters material. But how would I look in a sari? I remembered the one and only time I wore a sari was on my cousin bro's wedding. It was many years back and I think I was only seventeen or eighteen then.My aunt bought us saris from India. Mine was bright yellow and pink in color. My twin sister's was a green and blue sari. I was looking so bright on that day and guess what, I did not know how to walk in a sari. I must have looked so stupid and gawky. Instead of helping out in the wedding, my sister and I simply stood one corner because we could not do anything wearing that sari. What if I had tripped and fell while serving, oh god it was scary to even think about it. Well I regretted wearing a sari then. I told myself never to wear it again but when I see ladies in sari, they look pretty and nice. They are so comfortable in it. Some even wear it at workplace. Hmm hats off to those ladies in sari. The one person whom I admire in sari is Aishwarya. Well she looks great in everything and in one particular sari, she looked dashing. Let me find that pic and post it. By the way, my hubby likes me to try out sari too so will I be in a sari on my sister's wedding day...hmm I need to practice how to walk with poise in a sari. If I don't get that one, I will probably skip wearing a sari. No sari for me even on my wedding day. I don't regret it. :-)
